The Real Me (May 2011)

Admittedly a dreamer, but with drive for ambition, dreams and success, 

Strong minded and a good sense of humour even when her shoulders are compressed with stress.

She bleeds, as you do too. And her heart often aches.

But unlike many, she’ll forget her own agonising pain and dismiss her uneasy heart,
to offer peace and kindness to others when they seem to fall apart.

She’s quite a tease, not afraid to flirt,

Mysteriously intriguing and elegant with a striking composure,

And don’t be surprised if she leaves lipstick on your shirt.

She doesn't need someone to look after her, she can easily look after herself.

Even if sometimes nothing goes right and she feels like she’s stuck in hell.

She doesn't need reassurance from someone like you,

Why should she care or believe in something that's not quite real?

Opinionated and determined, you never know what you might to find.
And of course she wants to be challenged,
Because she's never afraid to speak her mind. 

So next time you're looking at me, I suggest you look further than what you see.

Because underneath my 'cover up' clothes and beyond my hazel eyes, I'm like a kinder surprise,
And the truth is, you will never understand the real me.
